This course was a complete refresher for me as it’s specific to proper and qualified accounting, helping me to advance to audit standards.

Hari sir is an ocean of knowledge. He has experience in working with several companies over his lifetime, most being in the Middle East. This brings light to the real-time information and limitations we may face with books of accounts, which no college or school could possibly provide. Hari sir is more than welcome to address accounting concerns we encounter in our day-to-day office tasks, which helps us understand if we are upto par with the IFRS standards or if we are deviating from any.

Though I was unable to make it to physical classes (being located in AlAin), I was provided with sessions, completely online; which helped me pass the certification in just two months. The classes were also managed in a manner to accommodate time for students like me, who have office on all five days. Appreciate their efforts.

With the competitive world we live in, I took the IFRS course hoping that it would help me get a more in-depth understanding of accounting, and of course to have an edge over the competition.  But, I got much more than that!

Being a university student in my first year I had decided to study for the CMA exam, and it complemented my studies at university and gave me vast knowledge in the field of managerial accounting. It was not easy to time travel to the past and be a student again after more than a decade. I decided to join EMERGE for CMA after evaluating various available options. The day I first visited to emerge was my turning point in my life. My Journey to becoming a CMA was not an easy one. I started up from knowing nothing to becoming a CMA after going through failure. Having qualified as a Certified Management Accountant in my very first attempt is truly a dream come true. In early 2013, I came to Emerge looking for a short term course that should be challenging and at the same time attainable. The CMA course has enriched my knowledge in Accounting and Finance and passing the exam has been made easy by EMERGE. Well, passing sure does feel terrific I’m just excited that I was able to fulfill my goal of passing all sections the first time around. To be honest I actually started preparing just 40 days before the day…the training really simple to understand for me. I would like to thank Hari Sir and Emerge for all their effort in preparing me for the exams.  I had their entire support  right up until I passed my exams. Joining Emerge for CMA preparation was value for money; best investment decision I had ever made!!!  I intend to pursue my CPA with Emerge shortly.

I joined Hari Sir’s classes in Dec ’04 and was one of the best decisions i ever made. Sir’s guidance and support was impeccable in every way.  Even though i attended classes for only 2 sections he was always there to guide me and helped me through the other sections too. Sir not only gave a 100% but a 150% to ensure the success of his students. The process of the entire CPA examination is quite an experience.  It is a tough exam but with diligence and hardwork it can be accomplished.

It’s a great feeling to pass all 4 parts of CMA in first attempt within nine months and BE a PROFESSIONAL! Studying should be done at home simultaneously with the class sessions so as to avoid piling up of the load. Most importantly, all the tests that Sir provides should be taken. They help estimate where a person stands and how much more effort a person has to put in.  I would like to thank Hari Sir without whose effort I would not have been able to clear the CPA Exam. Practice maximum number of questions and that is the best solution to cracking these exams (from Wiley text book, Wiley Question Bank CD, Online test banks CPA review-for-free etc and AICPA sample questions).  Study material- Emerge Power Point clips, Emerge Class notes and Wiley Text books.

I would suggest the below study strategy for every CPA subject-:

Go through the power-point and class notes (module wise) and then solve few set of questions from the Wiley Textbook, check your mistakes and then go though the power-point slides/notes again and solve the remaining set of questions and if you still have trouble understanding any module only then go through them in detail in Wiley textbook and finally after you have completed covering all study modules as above, take all possible set of mock exams from the Wiley Question Bank CD and Online Test banks (CPA review for free and AICPA sample questions) in order to ensure proper time management is followed during exams.  Start solving questions from beginning, that keeps you on the drive without losing focus.

I want to share you my journey for passing the CMA exam in less than one year.
